A week ago, Ellen and Rog visited the Initial Point Gallery to scope out the setting for the next IPG show, in August. It looks like a great gallery for one in a city hall [Meridian, Idaho]. The following 6 pictures are of the gallery…
Of couse one of the challenges is the bright Idaho Sun. Above is the brightness around noon, facing west.
Above is the view towards the Mayor’s office. Ellen Garrard is a standing dumb-founded about the huge size of the gallery. No we are not in Texas, but Idaho does have some bigness as well.
Right Mayor’s Quadrant, is the above — the left mayor’s quadrant is below.
The left Window quadrant is above, while the right window quadrant is below.
While there we met the artist who was showing at the time. Her name was Jani Frey, and she is a member of the Idaho Watercolor Society. Below is what we considered our favorite of her paintings. It is of the owls that visit Hull’s Gulch every year to nest and breed, and then leave again. Apparantly, Jani and her husband walk the Hull’s Gulch trail, much like our mentor Fred Choate does, every morning.

We look forward to the show.
